 TALIPAPA HIGH SCHOOL

Talipapa High School was opened in August 1, 1979 by Mrs. Modesta G. Boquiren, the City Superintendent then of 3rd District, Metro Manila. Caloocan City. This was the response to the need of the community, to meet the problem as to where to send their children after completing Grace VI at Talipapa Elementary School. It started with one (1) section of First Year students under administration of the Talipapa Elementary School Principal with two High School teachers, Mrs. Nimfa David, teacher in Science, and Mr. Eulogio Reyes, teacher in English. Other teachers assigned were from BAESA High School. This expanded until it grew into a complete 4-year level high school with one (1)section per year level. During the School Year 1982-1983, Mr. Joel T. San Luis was assigned to administer school as part of Baesa High School. A year later, the school operated on a separate administration from Baesa High School under Mrs. Dedicacion Alacon but still existed as an Annex of Caloocan High School. As the number of enrollees increased, the number of teachers also increased to fourteen (14). In October 1987, Miss Otilia B. Bolima was assigned as the School Head of Talipapa High School. And with the implementation of R.A. 6655, Talipapa High School became an independent school of Caloocan City. In July 1992, the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by the DECS Secretary, City Mayor of Caloocan, President of GSIS and Schools Division Superintendent took place on the same date. Talipapa High School was transferred to its present site with the initiative of Miss Otilia B. Bolima. The 5,047 square meters intended for the school site as indicated in the Land Title and supported by the MOA, is good enough to accommodate the fast growing enrolment and meet the number one need of the community.

Now, the sixty six (66) teaching force and staff and more than 1, 400 enrolled students of Talipapa High School for the School Year 2013-2014 shows how far this institution had gone.
